The FC-301P45KT4131B6105 is an AC variable-frequency drive built by Danfoss within the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. The unit converts fixed line power into a regulated output that allows plant controllers to adjust induction motor speed for conveyors, pumps, and processing lines. Integrated power electronics and torque-control algorithms supply the commanded current profile, allowing the drive to serve as the electrical interface between automation controls and mechanical loads. This arrangement supports controlled acceleration, steady operation, and deceleration across a range of industrial motor applications.
The drive has a continuous output capacity of 45 kW and accepts a line input of 380–480 VAC. During cold starts, the inverter provides 160% starting torque for 60 seconds, while short transient demands are supported at 110% for 0.5 seconds. The flux controller reaches the commanded level in 1 ms, allowing torque to build rapidly after a control request. Regenerated energy is routed to a 778 V DC brake circuit. Installation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m without output derating, while operation above this elevation requires reduced output. The controller also reduces output when the ambient temperature exceeds the full-load limit, helping prevent excessive thermal stress on the power components. During braking, the dedicated brake circuitry manages regenerated energy within the stated DC-bus warning and alarm limits.
