The FC-301P45KT4131B6101 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a controllable output that regulates induction motor speed in conveyors, pumps, and fan systems. The drive has a continuous electrical capacity of 45 kW, making it suitable for midrange automation tasks. Its enclosure retains the mechanical dimensions used by compatible products in the broader VLT AutomationDrive FC platform, which helps maintain a consistent cabinet layout.
The input section accepts three-phase power from 380 to 480 VAC networks and operates at an efficiency of 0.98 when delivering rated current. Dynamic braking begins when the DC link reaches 778 V DC. The warning threshold is 810 V DC, and the drive shuts down if the level reaches 820 V DC. Full output can be maintained at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C without derating. The control terminals provide a 24 V supply with a 200 mA capacity, while the digital output can sink 40 mA for status signaling. Pulse-width modulation operates at frequencies up to 32 kHz, providing adjustable motor control across the operating range. To protect the capacitors from repeated inrush current, the drive should be powered up no more than once per minute.
The drive sustains full current at altitudes up to 1000 m. Between that elevation and 3000 m, output current must be reduced to compensate for the lower air density and reduced cooling performance. Motor leads may extend to 50 m when shielded or 75 m when unshielded, supporting remote cabinet placement while accommodating different cable arrangements. An internal form-C relay rated for 240 V AC and 2 A can switch external contactors or alarms. The numeric series identifier 301 corresponds to the parameter structure used across FC-301 models, allowing consistent drive configuration within that model range.
