Product Description:
The FC-301P3K7T2134L2937 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It converts the fixed mains supply into a pulse-width-modulated output so motor speed, torque, and process flow can be adjusted without mechanical throttling. This type of control is commonly used in conveyors, pumps, and material-handling stations across industrial automation.
This model connects to a three-phase network rated at 200 – 240 VAC and draws a continuous line current of 15 A. At the same operating point, its inverter section delivers 16.7 A to the motor, corresponding to an apparent power of 6.65 kVA when the supply is 230 V. Energy conversion losses are limited because efficiency at rated current is 0.96, so only four percent of the electrical input becomes heat. The control electronics can source 40 mA on the programmable digital output, and the unit accepts pulsed commands up to 110 kHz, allowing high-resolution speed references to reach the modulator with minimal latency. Flux-mode operation is available up to 300 Hz. Phase imbalance across the input lines must remain below 3.0 percent to keep diode and capacitor stress within the intended limits.
For dynamic tasks, the drive can raise the carrier to a maximum output frequency of 590 Hz, permitting operation of high-pole or spindle motors that require extended electrical bandwidth. Its continuous output is 3.7 kW, equivalent to 5.0 HP. At full load, the drive dissipates 185 W inside the enclosure. Protective logic limits successive energizations to two power-ups per minute, reducing stress on the input and charging circuits. Shielded motor cabling can extend up to 50 m without exceeding EMC limits, while unshielded conductors can extend up to 75 m where their use is acceptable. These cable limits help control conducted and radiated interference between the drive, motor, and nearby control equipment.
