Product Description:
The FC-301P3K7T2134H9402 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed mains power into a regulated output waveform, allowing industrial control systems to govern motor speed in conveyors, pumps, blowers, and similar equipment. With a power capability of 3.7 kW, the drive supports mid-range motion applications that use three-phase electrical installations and require adjustable speed or torque.
When supplied from a 230 V line, the drive presents an apparent power of 6.65 kVA, which helps determine suitable upstream protection and cabling. It accepts a three-phase mains input of 200 to 240 VAC, and the rectifier draws a continuous input current of 15 A. The inverter can deliver a continuous output current of 16.7 A to the motor terminals while maintaining a conversion efficiency of 0.96, which reduces internal heat generation and energy losses. The fundamental output can reach a magnetic flux frequency of 300 Hz for compatible motor applications. The control system permits no more than two power-ups per minute to protect the DC-link capacitors from repeated charging stress. A high-voltage warning occurs at 405 V DC, while a separate overvoltage alarm activates at 410 V DC to indicate that the bus voltage has reached an unsafe level.
The thermal model indicates a full-load power loss of 185 W, so the installation must provide sufficient airflow or heat dissipation to remove the resulting waste heat. Mechanical output is rated at 5.0 HP, and the pulse-width modulation stage can reach a maximum output frequency of 590 Hz for high-speed spindle or blower applications. During dynamic braking, the DC bus is clamped at 365 V DC, allowing the braking resistor network to engage when regenerative energy raises the bus voltage. This braking response helps control voltage during rapid motor deceleration or when an overhauling load returns energy to the drive. Proper ventilation around the enclosure is necessary to prevent the listed power loss from raising internal component temperatures during continuous operation.
