Product Description:
The FC-301P37KT4131F2805 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a modulated output for industrial motors. Plant controllers can use this output to regulate motor speed, torque, and energy consumption in conveyors, pumps, and material-handling equipment throughout industrial automation.
On the input side, the drive accepts 380–480 VAC, and its continuous power capability is rated at 37 kW, equivalent to 50 HP. At 400 V, the apparent power drawn under high-overload conditions reaches 50.6 kVA, while the corresponding output current is 73 A. The output voltage changes at a dv/dt of 1.978 kV/µs when measured with a 50 m motor cable, providing useful data for selecting motor filters and insulation. Electrical conversion efficiency remains at 0.98 under rated current, meaning only 2% of the supplied energy is dissipated as heat. These ratings assist with selecting the breaker size and conductor cross-section. They also indicate the enclosure ventilation needed for continuous operation.
During transients, the inverter can deliver an overload current of 110 A, allowing heavy loads to accelerate without tripping the drive. The commanded output frequency extends to 590 Hz, while a flux ceiling of 300 Hz protects the motor’s magnetic system. Integrated overvoltage monitoring generates an alarm at 820 V DC, provides a warning at 810 V DC, and engages the brake chopper when the DC link rises to 778 V DC. The peak phase voltage measured with a 50 m cable is 1.260 kV. Permissible motor cable lengths are 50 m for shielded cable and 75 m for unshielded cable, allowing the installation route to be selected according to electromagnetic compatibility requirements. Full-load operation produces 697 W of internal power loss, which must be considered when designing cabinet cooling and airflow.
