Product Description:
The FC-301P30KT4134L2924 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. This controller adjusts the speed of three-phase motors in conveyor lines, pumps, and general machinery by converting fixed mains power into a regulated output. It is intended for installation in industrial panels where precise frequency control, torque management, and energy efficiency are required. Its control functions suit applications that need smooth acceleration and repeatable speed changes during routine operation.
The drive accepts a three-phase mains input of 380–480 VAC at a supply frequency of 50/60 Hz ±5%, matching utility grids in most industrial facilities. Internally it is rated for 30 kW, so its power section can deliver sufficient current to motors up to 40 horsepower. The inverter portion produces an output frequency window of 0–590 Hz, while a separate flux mode uses the narrower 0–300 Hz range when low-speed motor tuning is needed. Output voltage is regulated from 0–100% of the supply voltage, allowing soft start and dynamic braking. For electromagnetic compatibility, Danfoss specifies shielded motor cabling up to 50 m and unshielded runs up to 75 m. This operating range supports both standard motor duty and process-specific speed adjustment.
Power quality and protection thresholds are also integrated. The converter maintains a displacement power factor above >0.98 and keeps the true power factor at 0.9 or higher to reduce reactive current. It tolerates supply imbalance up to 3.0% of rated voltage before derating and limits mains reconnection to 1 per minute so the inrush network can discharge safely. The brake chopper is referenced to 778 V DC; beyond 810 V DC a high-voltage warning is latched, and at 820 V DC an overvoltage alarm forces a stop to protect the DC link components. These thresholds help the drive respond in a controlled way during line disturbances and regenerative braking events.
