Product Description:
The FC-301P30KT4131F2804 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. By converting fixed line power into a modulated output, the unit supports variable-speed motor control. Controllers can use this adjustable output to regulate induction-motor speed, torque, and energy consumption in automated conveyors, pumps, and process lines.
The inverter delivers a continuous output of 30 kW, equivalent to 40 HP, while accepting a supply range of 380–480 VAC from a three-phase power network. It can provide output frequencies up to 590 Hz while limiting output voltage to 100 percent of the incoming line voltage, which helps prevent excessive stress on motor insulation. Voltage imbalance across the phases is limited to 3.0 percent, protecting the rectifier diodes from uneven loading. The digital input terminals tolerate control voltages up to 28 V DC. The safe-torque-off circuit has the same voltage ceiling and draws 50 mA rms at 24 V. Internally, the drive uses the series identifier 301, aligning its parameter structure with other VLT AutomationDrive FC models. Motor cables may extend 50 m when shielded or 75 m when unshielded, allowing the motor to be installed remotely without additional output reactors.
Flux-optimization routines remain effective at frequencies up to 300 Hz. Beyond that point, operation changes to constant-V/Hz control. Pulse-width modulation is generated at a maximum carrier frequency of 110 kHz, providing fine current resolution for low-speed torque control. At the stated dV/dt filter distance of 5 m, the output slew rate reaches 2.853 kV/μs, the corresponding peak voltage reaches 1.270 kV, and the measured rise time is 0.368 μs. These switching values can be used to select a suitable output filter or dV/dt choke for the connected motor and cable arrangement.
