Product Description:
The FC-301P30KT2134L2944 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. Within an automation cell, it modulates the speed of standard induction motors so conveyors, pumps, or fans can follow precise process set points instead of running at a fixed mains frequency. The drive accepts three-phase power and belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. Its internal series identifier is 301, which aligns its mechanical layout and control architecture with other controllers in this product line.
The input section accepts 200–240 VAC at the mains terminals and remains synchronized with grids operating at 50/60 Hz with a tolerance of ±5%. On the output side, the inverter produces a pulse-width-modulated waveform across a frequency range of 0–590 Hz, while the voltage is adjustable through 0–100% of the supply voltage. During acceleration, it can deliver 160% starting torque for 60 seconds, giving machines the additional breakaway force needed for loaded starts. In open-loop flux mode, the operating frequency ranges from 0 to 300 Hz, and torque responds within a rise time of 1 ms. With the VVC+ algorithm, the rise time is 10 ms, providing smoother regulation for applications that do not require the faster flux-mode response. The design meets the IE2 energy-efficiency class, helping limit conversion losses during continuous-duty operation.
The power channel is rated at 30 kW, which corresponds to 40 HP for mid-sized production equipment. The drive maintains full output at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C and operates without elevation-related derating at altitudes up to 1000 m. Shielded motor cables may extend up to 50 m, while unshielded motor cables may extend up to 75 m. These cable allowances support installations in which the motor is positioned away from the control cabinet while helping manage voltage reflections along the conductors. The available output range supports standard industrial motors as well as applications requiring operation above the normal mains frequency. Its torque response options allow the control method to be selected according to the required balance between rapid load response and smooth motor regulation.
