Product Description:
The FC-301P2K2T4134L2717 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a controlled output that regulates induction motor speed, torque, and acceleration in automated production lines. Its control functions support variable-speed operation in small pumps, fans, and indexing conveyors that require smooth load changes.
The drive connects to industrial feeders rated for 380–480 VAC three-phase power and delivers up to 2.2 kW, or approximately 3.0 HP, of continuous mechanical power. This voltage range allows installation alongside 400 V class motors on global power grids. For rapid load pickup, it can produce 160% starting torque for 60 s, while short surges can reach 110% for 0.5 s without triggering fault limits. The design meets the IE2 energy-efficiency class to limit energy loss during operation. Closed-loop flux-vector control produces a torque response in 1 ms, while sensorless VVC+ requires 10 ms, providing fast control for tensioning or positioning tasks. The power section is suitable for Overvoltage Category III switchgear, allowing it to withstand the impulse levels present in typical industrial distribution panels.
Continuous full-current operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C, and no derating is necessary below an elevation of 1000 m. Output remains available at elevations up to 3000 m, where the drive reduces current to compensate for thinner air and reduced cooling capacity. The inverter keeps the displacement power factor above 0.98 and maintains a true power factor of at least 0.9, minimizing reactive demand on upstream electrical equipment. A supply imbalance tolerance of 3.0% allows the unit to continue operating with asymmetrical mains power without stalling. Its standardized parameter structure supports consistent configuration across multi-drive installations.
