Product Description:
The FC-301P2K2T2134L2703 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. The device converts mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output that allows PLCs to regulate motor torque and speed throughout the operating range. It is intended for industrial pumps, fans, and material-handling equipment where closed-loop speed control improves energy use and process accuracy.
It accepts a supply of 200–240 VAC from a three-phase power source and produces a continuous output current of 10.6 A, making it suitable for motors up to 3.0 HP. The rated power is 2.2 kW, and the drive reaches an efficiency of 0.96 at this load, which helps keep thermal stress low. Continuous input current is 9.5 A, and power cycling is limited to two starts per minute to protect the rectifier. The control electronics provide a 10 V reference capable of supplying 15 mA and a 24 V source that supplies 200 mA for sensors. One relay rated for 240 V AC at 2 A can switch external contactors. Shielded motor cables may be installed in runs up to 50 m, while unshielded motor cables may extend up to 75 m without exceeding the stated electromagnetic compatibility limits. The internal series identifier is 301, and the product belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC group.
Total apparent power delivered to the motor side reaches 4.22 kVA at 230 V, while full-load losses are only 116 W, simplifying enclosure cooling. The class-IE2 design complies with industrial energy directives and carries an IE2 efficiency classification. Operation is permitted at altitudes up to 1000 m without derating. Above that altitude, the drive must be current-limited to compensate for reduced air density. When power is removed, the DC bus decays passively, so external braking resistors are unnecessary for typical loads with moderate inertia. The specified motor cable limits help maintain filter performance and prevent overvoltage at the inverter terminals.
