Product Description:
The FC-301P2K2T2134L2668 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss and supplied under the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. As a member of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it accepts three-phase 200–240 VAC mains power and converts it into a regulated output for a 2.2 kW, 3.0 HP induction motor. The controller adjusts motor speed to match process demand, reducing mechanical wear and energy use in pumps, fans, and conveyors. Its three-phase input and variable output make it suitable for machinery that requires controlled acceleration, deceleration, and continuous speed regulation.
Electrical performance includes an apparent power demand of 2.99 kVA at 230 V, while input current remains at 9.5 A and rated output current reaches 10.6 A. The rectifier charges the DC link to 365 V DC, and the control system issues a high-voltage warning at 405 V followed by an overvoltage alarm at 410 V DC. Operating efficiency is 0.96, which limits heat generation and supports compact panel layouts. The programmable output frequency extends to 590 Hz for operating compatible high-speed motors. Conductors up to 4 mm² fit the power terminals, allowing appropriately sized mains and motor wiring to be connected. For electromagnetic compatibility, the drive supports shielded motor cables up to 50 m long without additional filtering.
During heavy acceleration, the supply can withstand an overload current of 15.2 A, and the inverter can provide 17 A to the motor for the same interval. Internal power losses can reach 116 W, so the enclosure must provide sufficient airflow to remove the generated heat. The permitted startup rate is 2 starts per minute, which helps prevent excessive thermal loading from repeated energization. Installation rules permit an unshielded motor cable length of 75 m; longer runs require external filters to preserve waveform integrity. A dedicated relay can control a mechanical brake, allowing the drive to coordinate brake operation with motor starting and stopping commands.
