Product Description:
The FC-301P1K5T4134L2683 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. As a member of the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it serves as the power stage between the plant’s three-phase supply and an induction motor. It permits motor speed adjustment without mechanical throttling, which is a common requirement in conveyors, fan arrays, and pump stations.
For mains integration, the drive is configured for three-phase power and accepts line voltages from 380–480 VAC. Its continuous mechanical output is 1.5 kW, equivalent to 2.0 HP, giving it enough capacity for small centrifugal loads. The drive operates at an efficiency of 0.97 at rated current, limiting internal power dissipation to 62 W. Reactive demand is low because the true power factor remains at or above 0.9 and the displacement factor stays above 0.98. This voltage range aligns with common IEC category D industrial service transformers. The input section tolerates up to 3.0% mains imbalance without tripping, but start-stop cycling must be limited to no more than two power-ups per minute to preserve component life. The DC link is precharged through a resistor network to limit inrush current during energization.
Control and feedback terminals accommodate a range of conductor sizes. Signal cores can be as small as 0.25 mm² and as large as 1.5 mm² when longer runs require lower resistance. The digital sink/source output can deliver 40 mA, which is enough to drive relays or optically isolated inputs. The analog channel resolves commands with 12-bit precision for smooth speed ramps. Pulse commands must last at least 4.5 ms to be recognized by the control logic, helping provide noise immunity on the control bus. These timing and current limits support connections to PLC pulse outputs and low-impedance analog transducers on compact machinery.
