Product Description:
The FC-301P1K5T2134L2965 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss in the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. Designed for a three-phase 200–240 VAC power supply, the unit converts fixed utility power into a modulated output that allows controllers to regulate induction motor speed and torque. In automated conveyors, pumps, or fans, the drive maintains process accuracy while reducing mechanical wear by operating the motor only at the speed required by the application. Its variable-speed control also supports gradual acceleration and deceleration, which can reduce mechanical stress on connected equipment.
The drive is rated for 1.5 kW of continuous mechanical output, equivalent to 2.0 HP, so it suits small to midsize AC motors on light process lines. At rated load, the inverter can deliver 7.5 A of three-phase current to the motor while drawing 6.8 A from the power supply. Its energy conversion path reaches an efficiency of 0.96, minimizing the amount of energy converted into heat. Output frequency is adjustable from zero up to 590 Hz, enabling oversynchronous operation for high-speed machinery. The control electronics provide a 12-bit analog output channel for feedback tasks and one digital sink/source output rated at 40 mA. The input section tolerates a maximum phase imbalance of 3% and draws 2.99 kVA of apparent power when supplied with 230 V.
In flux-optimized mode, the output frequency is limited to 300 Hz, supporting applications that require additional starting torque without extending the acceleration ramp. Protective logic limits power-up cycles to two per minute to reduce stress on the DC-link capacitors. When energized from a 208 V supply, the converter draws 2.7 kVA of apparent power and dissipates 82 W of heat at full load, providing useful values for enclosure ventilation planning. Motor leads may extend up to 50 m when shielded or 75 m when unshielded. Shielded motor leads help reduce electromagnetic interference in installations with sensitive control and feedback wiring.
