Product Description:
The FC-301P1K5T2131X7294 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss as a member of the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. In automated plants, it converts fixed-frequency, three-phase line power into a modulated output that regulates induction motor speed and torque. By providing closed-loop motor control, the unit helps conveyors, pumps, and ventilation equipment match process demand while lowering energy consumption. Its mechanical interfaces and control terminals are compatible with the broader VLT AutomationDrive platform.
Electrical performance centers on a continuous output of 1.5 kW, equal to 2.0 HP, delivered from a 200–240 VAC three-phase supply. At the motor terminals, the inverter can continuously supply 7.5 A without derating. The drive has an efficiency of 0.96, so most incoming electrical power is transferred to the connected motor. An analog output provides a selectable 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA feedback signal for external meters and control equipment. A digital relay block can sink up to 40 mA for status indication. Control wires are secured under terminals that accept conductors up to 4 mm², and motor cables may extend up to 50 m when shielded or 75 m when unshielded.
Protective circuits monitor the DC link that supplies the brake chopper and respond to rising bus voltage. Dynamic braking engages when the DC bus reaches 365 V, while the high-voltage warning activates at 405 V DC. An overvoltage alarm follows if the bus reaches 410 V DC, helping protect the power stage during regeneration or unstable supply conditions. Under nominal load, the drive presents an apparent power of 2.99 kVA at 230 V and has a real-to-apparent power ratio of at least 0.9, limiting reactive demand on the incoming supply. Heat dissipation is limited to 82 W, allowing the drive to operate without an auxiliary fan.
