Product Description:
The FC-301P18KT4134L2956 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a modulated output for regulating induction-motor speed and torque. This capability supports controlled acceleration, deceleration, and steady operation in conveyors, pumps, fans, and other industrial automation equipment. The converter can receive commands from a control system and adjust its motor output as process demands change.
The converter operates on a three-phase power supply within a range of 380–480 VAC. It delivers up to 18.5 kW of continuous output, which corresponds to 25 HP at the motor shaft. During acceleration, the drive can supply 160% starting torque for 60 seconds to help move loads with significant breakaway friction. Its flux-control path responds within 1 millisecond, while the VVC+ algorithm settles within 10 milliseconds. The digital output terminals source 40 mA, and the inputs accept signals up to 28 V DC. Motor cables may extend up to 75 meters when unshielded, while shielded motor cables are limited to 50 meters to maintain electromagnetic compatibility. These operating characteristics allow the drive to control demanding loads without sacrificing response speed.
The drive supplies rated current from 0 °C through a full-load ambient temperature of 45 °C. Operation may continue with derating at temperatures up to 55 °C, allowing use in warmer machinery enclosures when the output is reduced appropriately. No output reduction is required at elevations up to 1,000 meters, but the available current is progressively reduced above that elevation. The absolute operating altitude limit is 3,000 meters. Input power must remain within a 3.0% phase imbalance to support stable converter operation. The control logic also limits automatic energization to one power-up per minute, preventing repeated power cycling over short intervals.
