Product Description:
The FC-301P18KT2134L2942 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency utility power into a regulated output that allows induction motors to operate at commanded speeds and torque levels within automated machinery. It connects to plant controllers through discrete and analog I/O and uses an internal IGBT bridge to modulate the motor terminals for improved energy efficiency and consistent process control.
Rated output reaches 18.5 kW, equivalent to 25 HP, when the converter receives a three-phase input of 200–240 VAC. The design accepts three-phase power only, and conversion efficiency is 0.97 at rated current, so most of the absorbed energy is transferred to the motor. Protective thresholds on the DC link include brake activation at 390 V DC, a high-voltage warning at 405 V DC, and an overvoltage shutdown at 410 V DC. The drive permits only one input power-up per minute to limit stress on the capacitors. Relay output 1 can switch 240 V AC at 2 A or 60 V DC at 1 A for external contactors. These operating limits help protect the power stage during switching, braking, and supply-voltage disturbances.
Power conductors may have cross-sectional areas of up to 50 mm², and motor leads can use shielded assemblies up to 50 m long or unshielded runs up to 75 m without exceeding the drive’s filtering capacity. The analog output channel provides 12-bit resolution and 0.5% full-scale accuracy for speed or load feedback. Each digital transistor output can source up to 40 mA. The logic inputs accept signals up to 28 V DC and can be toggled by controllers at frequencies up to 32 kHz. These signal capabilities support connections to discrete sensors, actuators, and external control equipment. Shielded motor cabling can also help reduce electromagnetic interference in compact HVAC or conveyor control panels.
