The FC-301P18KT2134L2633 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss and belongs to the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. It conditions three-phase mains power so that induction or permanent-magnet motors can be started, accelerated, and stopped under closed-loop control in industrial automation cells. Integrated I/O and parameter menus support cabinet installation in material-handling, pumping, and conveying equipment. The drive can regulate motor speed and torque as process demands change, providing controlled operation across a variety of automated machinery.
The drive accepts a mains voltage of 200-240 VAC and remains operational with a line fluctuation of ±10% at a supply frequency of 50 or 60 Hz with a tolerance of ±5%. The three-phase input must remain within the allowed 3.0% phase imbalance to avoid excessive stress on the DC link. Rated output is 18.5 kW, and the inverter can deliver from zero to 100% of the supply voltage across the motor leads. Frequency setpoints range from 0-590 Hz, providing oversynchronous capability for specialized machinery. The displacement power factor exceeds 0.98, while the overall true power factor is at least 0.9 to limit reactive power draw. The front-end charging circuit permits one power-up per minute.
The unit has an analog command input range of -10 to +10 V. A programmable analog output provides either 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA for connection to a supervisory PLC or another compatible control device. In sensorless flux mode, the drive regulates motor current over a frequency range of 0-300 Hz, supporting high-torque operation at low speeds. The drive is rated at 25 HP, matching the mechanical output range of common motors used with this voltage class. Installation permits up to 50 m of shielded motor cable or 75 m of unshielded motor cable. These cable allowances let the inverter be mounted away from the driven load while maintaining the applicable electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
