Product Description:
The FC-301P18KT2131B6055 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group and serves as a speed-control interface between a plant’s three-phase power supply and asynchronous motors used in conveyors, pumps, and material-handling systems. By adjusting the frequency and voltage supplied to the motor, the drive provides precise process control while reducing mechanical stress during acceleration and deceleration. The unit is designed for installation in industrial automation cabinets where regulated motor speed and torque are required.
During operation, the inverter accepts a three-phase input of 200–240 VAC and can continuously deliver up to 18.5 kW to the motor terminals. Its output frequency is adjustable from 0 to 590 Hz, while carrier switching reaches 110 kHz for fine control resolution. The unit has four programmable digital inputs, two programmable digital outputs, and one analog output channel. The digital outputs can source 40 mA, and pulse functions operate at a maximum frequency of 32 kHz. Unshielded motor cables may be up to 75 m long, and flux regulation remains stable at frequencies up to 300 Hz. The drive issues a high-voltage warning when the DC bus reaches 405 V and activates an overvoltage alarm at 410 V.
The DC-link brake chopper engages at 390 V DC to redirect regenerated energy and maintain bus stability during motor deceleration. The digital inputs tolerate control voltages up to 28 V DC, helping protect the internal logic from excessive sensor voltage. The analog stage provides one output with 12-bit precision for proportional speed or torque reference signals. For electromagnetic compatibility, the motor cable should remain within a 50 m shielded run. This shielded cable limit helps reduce conducted and radiated interference in installations containing sensitive control or communication equipment. Mains supervision, braking control, and configurable input and output channels support coordinated operation within automated machinery.
