The FC-301P15KT4131X7314 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. Within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it controls motor speed in conveyors, pumps, and general machinery by adjusting output frequency rather than relying on mechanical throttling. This electronic control helps production lines match torque to real-time load demands, maintaining consistent process quality while reducing energy use.
Its power section supplies 15 kW of motor output. The drive accepts 380 – 480 VAC from a three-phase supply, integrating directly with typical industrial mains. Pulse-width modulation can reach carrier frequencies of 32 kHz, and commands are processed with 12-bit resolution, enabling fine torque regulation at low speeds. The six digital inputs support PNP or NPN logic up to 28 V DC, while two digital or pulse outputs broadcast speed or alarm status. One analog output is routed to terminal 42 for process feedback. The three-phase power architecture passes inverter current to the motor terminals. The control circuitry accommodates a single analog channel and manages digital I/O without external interface boards.
The analog channel maintains an accuracy of 0.5% of full scale. Each digital output can source or sink up to 40 mA, and the integrated relay handles loads up to 240 V AC at 2 A for contactor or indicator control. Motor leads may be installed in shielded cable runs up to 50 m, or in unshielded runs up to 75 m when EMC limits allow. Control terminals accept conductors ranging from 0.25 mm² to 1.5 mm², simplifying cabinet wiring with standard ferrules. The available output and relay connections allow the drive to communicate operating conditions directly to connected control equipment.
