Product Description:
The FC-301P15KT4131X7284 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency, three-phase power into a modulated output for regulating the speed of induction motors in conveyors, pumps, and similar automated machinery. Its adjustable output allows connected motors to operate at speeds suited to changing process demands rather than remaining tied to the incoming line frequency.
The drive has a rated output power of 15 kW, which is equivalent to 20 HP. It accepts a three-phase mains supply of 380–480 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz with a frequency tolerance of ±5%. The output frequency is adjustable from 0–590 Hz, while flux mode supports frequencies from 0 to 300 Hz for low-speed torque production. During peak demand, the drive can withstand an overload of 160% for one minute in every ten-minute interval. Its modulated output voltage ranges from zero to 100% of the mains voltage. An analog output channel provides a 0/4–20 mA signal for retransmitting process values to external monitoring equipment. Two digital transistor outputs are also available, with each output limited to 40 mA. The control board permits one startup per minute to protect the charging circuits, and internal monitoring checks the mains phase sequence before balanced power is delivered to the motor.
The drive monitors the DC link to protect its power electronics and connected equipment. An overvoltage alarm activates when the DC-link voltage reaches 820 V DC, while the dynamic brake begins operating at 778 V DC to dissipate regenerated energy. Shielded motor cable may extend up to 50 m, and unshielded cable may extend up to 75 m, allowing flexibility in the distance between the drive and motor. The digital outputs can report intermittent overload conditions to an external control system. The analog channel can also retransmit process variables to supervisory monitoring equipment without requiring an additional signal isolator. Mains phase-sequence monitoring helps prevent the inverter from supplying an improperly ordered three-phase output to the connected motor.
