Product Description:
The FC-301P15KT2131B8968 is a variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. This three-phase inverter converts fixed 200–240 V mains power into a controllable voltage-frequency output so that plant controllers can start, stop, and regulate induction motors directly from the drive. By replacing mechanical throttling with electronic speed regulation, the unit supports energy-efficient flow control in conveyors, pumps, and air-handling equipment across general industrial automation.
On the power side, the drive connects to a 200–240 VAC supply and delivers a continuous mechanical capacity of 15 kW at the motor shaft. Its inverter can synthesize output from zero to 590 Hz, while gate signals are modulated within a carrier window of 0–110 kHz. These ranges allow the drive to operate with standard four-pole machines and high-speed spindles. Flux-mode operation extends from 0 to 300 Hz for constant-torque loads. Up to five programmable digital inputs accept 0–24 V logic for run commands, preset speeds, or PID selection. Output voltage scales linearly from 0 to 100% of the DC link, maintaining vector control without an encoder.
Energy performance is supported by a drive efficiency of 0.96 and a displacement power factor greater than 0.98, minimizing reactive current and heat loss. Process data can be returned to a PLC through a dedicated 0/4–20 mA analog channel, removing the need for external signal conditioners. For long-lead installations, the integrated RFI filter permits up to 50 m of shielded motor cable while meeting EMC limits. Unshielded leads may extend to 75 m when site noise is low. A true power factor of at least 0.9 is maintained with 50/60 Hz ±5% supplies, keeping transformer loading predictable and simplifying harmonic compliance.
