Product Description:
The FC-301P11KT4131B3619 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group. Using the VVC+ control principle, it modulates inverter output to start, stop, and regulate induction motors without mechanical throttling. The drive provides controlled motor speed for conveyors, pumps, fans, and other automated equipment. It supports shielded motor cables up to 50 m long and unshielded motor cables up to 75 m long. The input phase imbalance must remain below 3.0% of the rated supply to maintain reliable operation.
This model operates on three-phase power networks with an input range of 380 to 480 VAC. Its motor output is rated at 11 kW, which corresponds to 15 HP. The inverter provides an output frequency range of 0 to 590 Hz, while flux mode supports frequencies up to 300 Hz for sensorless vector applications. The unit accepts an incoming mains frequency of 50/60 Hz ±5% and recreates an output voltage ranging from 0% to 100% of the supply voltage. Its pulse frequency can be adjusted from 0 to 110 kHz to balance switching losses and audible motor noise. Power cycling should be limited to once per minute to protect the intermediate circuit, and the phase monitor stops operation if the supply imbalance exceeds the permitted tolerance.
The drive supports intermittent overloads of 160% for one minute in every ten minutes, allowing the motor to deliver additional torque during short acceleration periods. It has six digital inputs that accept PLC control signals from 0 to 24 V DC. The true power factor remains at least 0.9 at rated load, helping reduce reactive demand on the supply transformer. For optimal electromagnetic compatibility, the motor cable shield should be bonded at both ends using connections with low high-frequency impedance. The VVC+ control algorithm regulates motor voltage and frequency while pulse-width modulation shapes the inverter output. The drive also monitors supply conditions and interrupts operation when detected phase conditions could place excessive stress on the power stage.
