Product Description:
The FC-301P11KT2134L2904 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss and sold under the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. Carrying the internal series identifier 301, this controller belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group used to regulate the speed of induction motors in industrial automation. By synthesizing a variable output frequency from a fixed supply, it maintains torque control on conveyors, pumps, and general process equipment while reducing mechanical wear and energy consumption.
The drive accepts a 200–240 VAC three-phase supply with a maximum current draw of 42 A and delivers a continuous apparent power of 18.4 kVA. At rated conditions, the inverter supplies 46.2 A of motor current while maintaining an efficiency of 0.96, limiting thermal losses to 463 W when fully loaded. Its mechanical output capacity is 11 kW, which corresponds to 15 HP. The control algorithm can generate 160% starting torque for 60 seconds to overcome static friction. When momentary demand rises, the inverter permits 73.9 A of intermittent current. Shielded motor leads may be routed up to 50 m, while unshielded leads may extend to 75 m without exceeding the drive-to-motor cable limits. Only one power-up per minute is permitted to prevent rapid cycling from stressing the DC-link capacitors.
During operation, the drive issues a high-voltage warning when the DC bus reaches 405 V DC. Protective logic trips at 410 V DC to prevent damage, while the braking circuit engages at 390 V DC and directs excess energy to the resistor network as heat. The drive sustains full current at temperatures up to 45 °C and altitudes up to 1,000 m without derating, provided adequate ventilation is available. Installation must use the required three-phase power configuration and remain within the stated cable lengths to maintain electromagnetic compatibility.
