Product Description:
The FC-301P11KT2131H4556 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It controls the speed of three-phase induction motors by adjusting output frequency and voltage, allowing automated equipment to match changing mechanical demand without mechanical throttling. The drive provides fundamental process control functions, including braking circuitry and monitoring signals, for machinery connected to low-voltage distribution networks. These capabilities support regulated motor operation in conveyors, pumps, fans, and other equipment that requires adjustable speed or torque.
The power section accepts a nominal input of 200 – 240 VAC through three-phase power lines. With a 208 V supply, the apparent power demand is 16.6 kVA, while operation at 230 V raises the demand to 18.4 kVA. The inverter supplies a continuous mechanical output of 11 kW, so upstream protection devices must be suitable for the connected load. A displacement power factor greater than 0.98 keeps reactive current low, and the true power factor remains at or above 0.9 during rated operation. These power characteristics allow the drive to regulate motor output while limiting unnecessary current demand from the incoming supply.
Conversion efficiency reaches 0.96 at rated current, directing most of the input energy to the motor. Standard control mode permits an output frequency of up to 590 Hz, while flux mode is limited to 300 Hz to support stronger torque control at low speeds. DC-link supervision issues a high-voltage warning at 405 V DC and an overvoltage alarm at 410 V DC. Dynamic braking engages when the DC-link voltage reaches 390 V DC. Shielded motor cables are limited to 50 m, while unshielded motor cables may extend to 75 m without exceeding the permitted installation lengths. An input phase imbalance threshold of 3.0% protects the rectifier from uneven loading. Power must not be cycled more than once per minute because repeated energization can overheat the DC-link capacitors.
