Product Description:
The FC-301-P30KT4E20H2 is a variable-frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It is intended for installation inside control cabinets where precise speed control of three-phase induction motors is required for conveyors, pumps, and mixers. By adjusting motor speed to match process demand, the drive supports stable operation and improved energy use in automated equipment. Its inverter section regulates motor voltage and frequency so connected machinery can run smoothly across changing load conditions.
The drive connects to a three-phase mains supply rated at 380-480 V AC. Internally, it can provide an adjustable output frequency from 0-590 Hz, and it can vary output voltage from 0 to 100 percent of the supply for standard or high-speed motor operation when the motor is suitable for inverter duty. Continuous power capability is 30 kW, which is equivalent to 40 hp. The enclosure has an IP20 rating and uses size B4 dimensions for panel layout planning. The DC-link warning starts at 810 V DC, and the drive trips at 820 V DC to protect the power section during regenerative conditions. Input distortion is limited to maintain a true power factor of at least 0.9, and the wiring, fuses, and disconnects must match the three-phase topology and overload margin of the unit.
For short-term overloads, the control section can deliver up to 150% for 1 min/10 min to help motors accelerate heavy loads without requiring a larger drive for normal operation. Conducted emissions comply with EN/IEC 61800-3 Category 3, and radiated noise is limited to EN 55011 Class A2 for use in industrial areas. The overload allowance is intended for brief demand peaks rather than continuous overcurrent, and it helps the drive handle starting loads or temporary process changes. The input displacement power factor remains near unity, which helps reduce reactive loading on upstream supply equipment.
