The 131G4328 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It accepts commands from upstream controllers and adjusts inverter output so induction motors can operate at the speed required by conveyors, pumps, and other plant equipment. Accurate electrical control allows the drive to regulate motor speed without relying on mechanical throttling, which can improve process control and reduce unnecessary energy use.

The drive delivers continuous shaft power of 0.75 kW, which corresponds to 1.0 HP for machinery using imperial units. Its input section is rated for 380 to 480 VAC and accepts three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial mains without a transformer. A built-in rectifier converts the incoming AC supply to DC for the inverter stage. The IGBT bridge then produces a controlled output waveform for the connected motor, allowing the drive to adjust speed and torque in response to command signals. The housing has an IP20 protection rating, which guards live parts against finger contact and is suitable for installation inside an appropriate electrical enclosure.

Field integration is supported by the factory-installed PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 option card, which exchanges cyclic setpoints and operating data with an upstream controller. An integrated EMC filter reduces conducted radio-frequency noise and helps the installation meet typical plant emission limits. Local setup is handled through the numerical local control panel, which displays parameters on a seven-segment screen and provides navigation and jog keys for test operation. Cable entry is supported by standard metric knockouts, allowing compatible glands to be installed while maintaining orderly routing inside the enclosure. The power board is not conformally coated, so the drive should be installed away from high humidity, condensation, corrosive vapor, and airborne chemicals that could affect insulation or electronic components over time.
