Product Description:
The 131B3614 is a variable frequency drive from Danfoss that belongs to the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. Within an automation cell, it converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable-frequency output for induction motors. This conversion allows a connected controller to adjust motor speed according to changing process requirements in pumps, fans, conveyors, and other industrial equipment. Controlled speed regulation can reduce unnecessary energy consumption while improving process accuracy and response.
The drive provides 11 kW of continuous output, corresponding to the mechanical capacity of 15 HP motors used in medium-duty applications. It accepts an input range of 380–480 VAC and operates with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to compatible industrial switchgear. An integrated filter meets RFI Class A1/B emission requirements and reduces conducted electrical noise on the supply. The design does not include a brake chopper, so regenerative energy must be managed by the driven load or suitable external equipment. Its printed circuit boards are uncoated and should be protected from moisture, conductive dust, and corrosive airborne contaminants. The configurable expansion slots and mains section are supplied without additional options, preserving the base configuration of the drive.
The enclosure supports dry-room mounting for B, C, D, and E frames and has an ingress protection rating of IP21 / Type 1. This enclosure protects against contact with hazardous internal components and vertically falling water droplets when installed in an appropriate indoor location. Electrical terminations pass through standard cable entries, which simplify routing through the gland plate and into the designated connection points. Local interaction is provided through the Graphical Local Control Panel, a backlit interface that displays operating values, parameters, status messages, and fault codes. Its graphical screen supports menu-based navigation without requiring a separate computer for routine adjustments. Adaptation B is not applied, and the unit does not include an additional mains option. External protective or braking components can be selected according to the requirements of the connected motor and driven machinery.
