Product Description:
The 131B2819 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. It controls the speed and torque of three-phase induction motors by adjusting the frequency and voltage delivered to the motor. This compact drive is suitable for automated conveyors, pumps, fans, blowers, and material-handling systems with changing load requirements. Its variable-speed operation allows connected equipment to respond to process demands without relying on constant-speed motor operation or separate mechanical speed controls.
The drive accepts an input of 380–480 VAC from a three-phase power source, allowing connection to common industrial power distribution systems. Its continuous motor output is rated at 1.5 kW, which corresponds to 2.0 HP. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, guarding internal components against contact with fingers and solid objects larger than 12 mm while permitting ventilation. Because this enclosure is not protected against water, the unit should be installed inside a suitable control cabinet. A factory-installed integrated EMC filter reduces conducted radio-frequency emissions through the power connections without requiring a separate filter for the drive’s standard configuration. The ventilated enclosure allows internally generated heat to escape, while appropriate cabinet airflow helps keep the power electronics within their operating temperature range.
The terminal block includes the certified Safe Stop function, which removes motor-producing torque without requiring a mechanical contactor in the motor circuit. This function can support controlled machine safety designs when it is connected and used according to the applicable installation requirements. The circuit boards are not coated, so the drive should be installed in a clean, dry cabinet that limits exposure to condensation, conductive dust, and corrosive airborne contaminants. Cable entry openings use standard factory cutouts, providing designated routing points for the incoming supply and outgoing motor conductors. The unit does not include a local control panel, so parameter entry, operating commands, and status monitoring must be handled through compatible remote interfaces. Expansion positions remain available for supported communication, encoder, or input and output cards when additional control functions are required.
