The 131B0981 inverter is produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 301 Automation Drives series. As an AC variable-frequency drive, it supplies adjustable voltage and frequency to induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, and general-purpose machine cells. The model carries the internal series identifier 301 and is intended for standard cabinet installation. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into regulated motor power, allowing a PLC or independent controller to adjust speed, ramp rates, and torque according to real-time process demands. This control method allows connected machinery to operate across a range of speeds without relying on mechanical throttling or fixed-speed control components.
A three-phase mains input of 380 to 480 VAC permits direct connection to compatible industrial supply networks without an autotransformer. Under these conditions, the unit provides 3.0 kW of continuous output power. The power section uses three-phase power, so the load is distributed across all three supply lines to limit conductor heating. The IP20 chassis enclosure requires installation inside a suitable panel to prevent accidental contact with internal components. An integrated RFI Class A1/B filter helps control conducted electrical interference on the line side. The drive does not include a brake chopper, so applications requiring dynamic braking must use an appropriate external arrangement.
A mechanical output rating of 4.0 HP allows the drive to start and regulate moderate-duty blowers, conveyors, or material-handling equipment without an oversized motor. Operators access parameters through the graphical local control panel, which displays setpoints, operating values, alarms, and trend data on a backlit screen.
