Product Description:

The Danfoss VLT 3504 is a strong variable speed drive from the VLT 3000 series that can regulate motors very precisely in many different industrial settings. It works with a three-phase input voltage range of 380–415V at 50/60Hz and has a rated power of 2.2 kW and a rated output current of 5.6 A at 380V. The drive can output voltages from 3x380 to 415V and frequencies from 1 to 120 Hz, which allows for versatile speed control for different motor-driven applications. The VLT 3504 provides external manual control override for maintenance and operating flexibility.

Users may manage the device manually via the keypad, and can also do it remotely using extra circuitry and unique settings, as explained in the VLT Series 3500 instruction booklet. The drive has two different menu setups: one for PI (proportional-integral) operation and the other for manual control. This makes it easy and safe to switch between automated and manual modes. The VLT 3504 was built to last and has been put through tough vibration tests (0.7 g). It can also work in places with relative humidity levels of up to 95% (DIN 40040 cl. E). In constant torque mode, the ambient temperature range for full-load operation is –10 to +45°C, and in variable torque mode, it is –10 to +40°C.

The tolerances for storage and shipping are –30 to +65°C. The drive is built to be short-circuit and ground-proof, and it meets important EMC emission and immunity requirements including EN 50081, VDE 0875, IEC 801, and VDE 0160. Safety comes first. The VLT 3504 has hazardous voltages when it is connected to line power, thus only competent experts should install it according to local and national laws.
