The VLT 3060 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. This AC inverter is installed between the plant power bus and a three-phase induction motor, where it modulates the supplied voltage to control the speed of conveyors, pumps, and material-handling equipment without mechanical throttling or gear changes. By delivering a controlled pulse-width-modulated output, the unit allows control systems to adjust motor torque, acceleration, and deceleration profiles to match process demands.
With an operating efficiency of 0.96, the drive minimizes heat loss while delivering the commanded power level.
