The 175L3007 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts fixed three-phase mains power into a regulated output that lets control systems adjust induction motor speed and torque in conveyors, pumps, or fan assemblies. By integrating power electronics and a cooling channel inside an IP-rated cabinet, the unit can be mounted close to machinery and deliver field-oriented control without requiring additional line-side components.
The drive has an operating efficiency of 0.96, which limits power dissipation during full-load cycles. Its steel housing carries a protection rating of IP54, so dust intrusion and water splashes do not interfere with the internal circuitry. Thermal limits permit operation up to 45 °C in constant-torque service, provided that the integral fan maintains airflow through the heat sink. The inverter produces output frequencies of 50/60/87/100 Hz, allowing motors with different base speeds to be driven from the same frame size. Incoming mains power can range from 380 to 500 V in three-phase form, and the power section accepts a 3 × 380/400/415/440/460/500 V ±10% supply. When upstream protection is required, a 150 A gG or similar fuse matches the short-circuit withstand rating of the semiconductor bridge.
Acoustic emissions reach 63.9 dBA with the cover in place, meeting common plant noise guidelines. The drive has a 100,000 A short-circuit rating, allowing it to withstand high-energy faults when paired with the proper upstream disconnects and protective devices. The assembly withstands a 0.7 g sine sweep without a loss of performance, while the conformal coating resists condensation at up to 95% relative humidity in humid production areas. The unit weighs 323 lb, which should be considered when selecting panel reinforcements or lifting equipment during installation.
