Product Description:

The 175L1025 is a variable speed drive produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. The unit receives constant-frequency AC power and generates a variable frequency and voltage output, allowing downstream induction motors to run at the exact speed demanded by process controllers. In industrial automation it is applied to conveyors, pumps, and ventilation equipment where energy savings and precise flow regulation are required. Its compact chassis mounts directly on a panel backplate, integrating easily into electrical enclosures that share space with PLCs and protective devices.

The drive accepts a three-phase input at a nominal 460 VAC and operates across 50 or 60 Hz line networks; the input may swing ±10% without alarms. Internally, it delivers a rated constant-torque output current of 4.8 A and a variable-torque rating of 4.1 A, while short-term overload demand can be handled with a maximum output of 7.7 A for 60 seconds. Connected motors up to 2.2 kW are supported and are protected by electronic thermal supervision that works with a DIN 44081 thermistor embedded in the machine windings. For coordination with upstream protection, the inverter may be switched on twice per minute and the supply feeder must be limited by a 16 A pre-fuse. Output frequency is adjustable from zero up to 500 Hz, enabling low-speed torque control as well as high-speed process capability. Overall conversion efficiency reaches 96%, which reduces cabinet heat and lowers cooling requirements.

For field wiring, power terminals accept conductors up to 2.5 mm². When shielded motor leads are required for electromagnetic compatibility, the permissible length extends to 150 m; unshielded runs can reach 300 m without exceeding drive limits. These cable allowances give more flexibility in routing the motor connection and help keep enclosure layout straightforward across a wide range of installations.
