Product Description:
The Danfoss 175H9083 is a variable speed drive. This drive can use either V/F (voltage/frequency) or sensorless vector control modes, making it useful for a wide range of fan and pump applications. This variable speed model has an IP00 open chassis design, which means it should be installed in an electrical enclosure that protects it from dust, accidental contact, and other environmental influences.
Even when the power is turned off, installers and operators need to know that the drive has dangerous voltages. Before accessing any internal parts, users must wait at least 4 minutes for VLT types 3002-3052 and 14 minutes for VLT types 3032-3052 (230 V) or 3060-3250. This gives the internal capacitors time to completely drain. Only trained electricians should install or service this drive, and all work must follow the handbook as well as national and local safety laws. For this drive, residual current detectors (RCDs) are not suggested in European Community applications because of large leakage currents and the usage of three-phase bridge circuitry.
The Danfoss VLT 3000 series, which includes the 175H9083, has the CE certification. When the Danfoss drive is mounted according to the instructions and shielded motor cables are used as shown in the manuals, it is guaranteed that these rules will be followed. For UL/cUL listed VLT types 3002-3052 installations in NEMA 1 and NEMA 12 enclosures, the bonding plate that comes with the unit must be mounted on the bottom cover so that it lines up with the pre-punched holes and conduit fitting knockouts. This is to make sure that the electrical bonding is done correctly and that UL/cUL standards are properly met.
