Product Description:
The 175H7289 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. The device receives three-phase mains power and synthesizes a regulated output waveform so that plant controllers can vary induction motor speed without mechanical gear changes. By modulating both voltage and frequency, it supports energy optimization and closed-loop torque control in automated conveyors, centrifugal pumps, and ventilation fans. Its compact chassis is suited for integration inside standard control enclosures used across manufacturing lines.
Protection and thermal limits are governed by the IP20 housing, which protects against finger contact but requires placement in a clean cabinet. Under nominal conditions, the inverter operates at an electrical efficiency of 0.96, with approximately 4 % of the input power lost as heat. Continuous operation draws 30.7 A from the supply, and a 63.0 A gL/gG upstream fuse isolates faults and satisfies installation requirements. In constant-torque mode, it can deliver 23.0 kVA to the motor terminals while dissipating 580 W internally. The drive permits two motor starts per minute to limit semiconductor temperature rise. An overload capacity of 51.2 A for 60 seconds accommodates transient torque demands. The terminals accept conductors up to 16.0 mm². Unshielded motor cables may be up to 300 m long, while shielded motor cables are limited to 150 m. Sound pressure measured with a 100 m cable is 62 dBA.
The drive supplies an output line current of 32.0 A and supports a motor shaft output of 15.0 kW when used with a standard four-pole motor. It weighs 32.0 kg, so appropriate lifting equipment and secure panel supports should be used during installation. The unit withstands 0.7 g of sinusoidal vibration, allowing installation on moving machine frames or high-bay mezzanines without additional damping. Adequate ventilation must still be provided around the enclosure to remove internally generated heat. Additional shock-isolation hardware is not normally required for this model.
