Product Description:
The 175H7288 is a 15-kW VLT® 3000 series drive from Danfoss. It operates with input voltages of 380/400/415 V AC, with a frequency range of 50/60 Hz and it provides an output voltage of 380/400/415 V AC that is adjustable based on the application needs. The drive offers a wide output frequency range from 0 to 120 Hz or 0 to 500 Hz, as per the need of system.
The 175H7288 drive uses voltage vector control (VVC) for efficient motor operations and it has an integrated thermal motor protection system. Its protection includes a thermistor to safeguard the motor from overheating and it supports up to 2 switching cycles per minute without damage. The unit is designed in IP20 rating with a weight of 32 kg and 48 kg in optional IP54 enclosure for enhanced environmental protection. It can operate with motor cables up to 150 meters in length, especially with screened cables and its maximum cable cross-section allowed is 16 mm². The 175H7 drive supports Modbus and Profibus communication for integration into various systems. It is compliant with EMC standards like EN 55011 for emissions and IEC 1000-4 for immunity. The unit also features short-circuit and grounding protection. It is capable of working with a power factor of 0.9/1.0.
The 175H7288 drive can handle a maximum output current of 51.2 A in constant torque mode and 44 A in quadratic torque mode. It is designed for efficient energy usage with a high efficiency of 96.0% at full load and it can handle ramp times ranging from 0.1 to 3600 seconds. The 175H7 drive is tested for 0.7 G of vibration resistance and it supports optional RFI filter as well, if needed for reduced interference.
Frequently Asked Questions about 175H7288:
Q: Why does the 175H7288 use voltage vector control (VVC) instead of scalar control?
A: The VVC enables precise torque and speed regulation, especially at low speeds, improving motor responsiveness. It also enhances energy efficiency and reduces motor heating under varying load conditions.
Q: How does support for motor cable lengths up to 150 m benefit installations using the 175H7288?
A: It allows flexible placement of the drive far from the motor, reducing installation constraints. Properly screened cables minimize reflections and voltage spikes over long distances.
Q: What role does the thermistor-based thermal protection in the 175H7288 play?
A: It monitors motor temperature directly, allowing the drive to adjust operation before overheating occurs. This proactive approach protects both the motor and drive from thermal damage.
Q: Why is the ramp time range from 0.1 to 3600 seconds important in the 175H7288?
A: It supports both fast startups and extremely slow ramping, letting applications fine-tune acceleration profiles for delicate machinery. Longer ramps reduce mechanical stress and power surges.
Q: Why is the vibration resistance rating of 0.7 g significant for the 175H7288?
A: It ensures the drive continues reliable operation in settings with mechanical vibrations, like mills or conveyors. This ruggedness minimizes failure risk in heavy-duty industrial applications.
