Product Description:
The 175H7288 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into a pulse-width-modulated output so that industrial controllers can regulate motor speed without mechanical throttling. By supplying accurate torque across a broad speed range, the drive improves energy use and repeatability in conveyors, pump skids, and material-handling cells that require closed-loop automation.
The input section accepts 3 x 380/400/415 V ±10% mains power at a universal line frequency of 50/60 Hz, allowing operation on common low-voltage grids. For constant-torque duty, the inverter delivers a continuous output current of 32.0 A and a power capability of 23.0 kVA. Electrical efficiency reaches 0.96, so only 4 percent of the incoming energy is dissipated as heat during nominal operation. Upstream circuit protection must meet the drive’s 63.0 A fuse requirement, while cabinet thermal design should accommodate 580 W of constant-torque power loss and 880 W when the unit operates in variable-torque mode. The terminals accept conductors with a maximum cross-sectional area of 16 mm², and the drive supports shielded motor cables up to 300 m long without compromising its switching performance.
An IP20 enclosure limits access to live parts while remaining compact enough for indoor panel mounting. The inverter has a rated motor output of 15.0 kW, making it suitable for midsized induction motors used in ventilation fans, extruders, and machine-tool spindles. Weighing 32.0 kg, the assembly can be fastened to standard backplates without additional reinforcement. Required airflow clearances must be maintained around the housing so that heat generated during operation can dissipate effectively. Variable-torque service raises the output to 44 A and 31.6 kVA, providing additional capacity for centrifugal loads such as pumps and fans.
