Product Description:
The 175H7281 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a modulated output that allows controllers to adjust induction motor speed and torque in conveyors, pumps, and machine tools. By varying the output waveform, the unit matches motor demand, minimizes mechanical stress, and supports coordinated motion in automated production cells.
The drive connects to industrial power supplies rated at 3 x 380/400/415 V ±10%, covering common European voltage bands without an external transformer. It operates with 50/60 Hz networks, so the same model can be installed with either utility frequency. Continuous operation draws 21.8 A from the line in constant-torque mode, while the power stage delivers a motor output of 11.0 kW. The motor terminals receive a continuous current of 24.0 A under constant-torque loading, and the inverter provides 17.2 kVA of apparent power. A factory-set prefuse limit of 63 A protects upstream cables. The control electronics permit no more than two switch-on events per minute to help prevent premature capacitor wear.
For short overloads, the output stage supplies up to 38.4 A for 60 seconds, allowing acceleration of high-inertia loads before thermal cutback. Conversion efficiency reaches 0.96, lowering enclosure heat and reducing the burden on ventilation systems. The housing has an IP20 rating, so the drive requires installation inside a suitable control panel. The unit withstands vibration levels up to 0.7 g, supporting stable operation on moving gantries and other industrial equipment exposed to mechanical movement. Variable-torque duty is also available; in that operating profile, the inverter supplies 32 A while the switching algorithm keeps torque within acceptable operating limits. This mode supports loads such as pumps and fans, where torque demand changes with operating speed rather than remaining constant throughout the speed range.
