Product Description:
The 175H7280 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts the fixed line supply into a variable-frequency, variable-voltage output so induction motors can accelerate, decelerate, or maintain a constant speed without mechanical dampers. The device is intended for general industrial automation, permits no more than two input power switch-ons per minute, and connects to line protection rated at 40.0 A while accepting motor cables with a cross-sectional area of up to 16.0 mm².
This drive operates at an efficiency of 0.96 and uses an IP20 open-chassis enclosure. Continuous operation delivers 11.0 kW of shaft power at a rated output current of 21.7 A in constant-torque mode, and the inverter tolerates an overload current of 34.7 A for 60 seconds to accommodate brief process surges. For variable-torque loads, it provides 18.8 kVA of apparent output in constant-torque mode and 27.9 A when switched to the variable-torque profile. The input section draws 20.1 A at maximum line loading, and upstream cabling must be protected by a 40.0 A pre-fuse. The drive withstands vibration up to 0.7 g, making it suitable for standard control-cabinet mounting under the stated operating conditions.
In variable-torque service, the inverter can supply 24.2 kVA while limiting internal power dissipation to 287 W. Unshielded motor leads may be routed for distances up to 300 m, allowing the drive to serve motors installed on large conveyors or remote pump skids without requiring shielded cable throughout the entire run. The overall shipping mass is 26.0 kg, including the integral RFI plate, so the cabinet structure and handling provisions must accommodate the complete assembly during installation.
