Product Description:
The 175H7277 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. The unit converts fixed three-phase mains power into a variable-frequency output that responds to commands from a connected controller. This adjustable output allows pumps, fans, and conveyors to operate at the required speed while reducing mechanical stress and energy consumption.
During constant-torque operation, the inverter delivers an apparent power of 11.5 kVA with a continuous output current of 16.0 A. A short overload window permits up to 25.6 A, supporting acceleration or process upsets without stalling the motor. Its rated shaft power of 7.5 kW is suitable for medium-sized equipment operating from a line supply of 3 × 380/400/415 V ±10%. The input bridge draws no more than 13.8 A under nominal conditions, and the control algorithms track mains frequencies of 50/60 Hz. Overall conversion efficiency reaches 0.96, limiting wasted heat and reducing the ventilation demands within the cabinet.
For field integration, the drive is housed in an IP54 enclosure that shields the internal electronics from dust and water spray. The power terminals accept copper conductors with cross-sectional areas of up to 16.0 mm². Shielded motor cables can extend as far as 150 m while remaining within applicable electromagnetic compatibility guidelines. Danfoss recommends a 50.0 A upstream fuse to coordinate circuit protection with the converter’s semiconductor rating. The thermal design dissipates 270 W of power loss at the constant-torque operating point, so forced ventilation is usually unnecessary. Under variable-torque duty, the inverter can supply 24.0 A to the motor. The unit also withstands a vibration level of 0.7 g, supporting installation on machinery frames exposed to moderate operational movement.
