Product Description:
The 175H7275 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains into a modulated output, allowing induction motors to run at application-specific speeds in conveyor, pump, and fan systems. For applications that demand rapid deceleration, a brake function is included, and electromagnetic compatibility is supported by an integrated RFI filter. The unit is delivered in an open-chassis housing and is intended for installation inside control cabinets where forced ventilation is available.
Rated for a three-phase supply of 3 x 380/400/415 V AC, the drive accepts line frequencies of 50/60 Hz without derating. In constant-torque mode it can deliver up to 16.0 A of output current, corresponding to 11.5 kVA of apparent power at the motor terminals, while short-term overload capability allows the current to rise to 25.6 A for heavy starts. The rectifier draws 13.8 A from the mains during continuous constant-torque operation, and overall conversion efficiency is 0.96, so only a small portion of input energy is lost as heat. Thermal dissipation is aided by the IP20 enclosure, which provides finger-safe protection yet allows airflow over heat-sink surfaces. Power conductors up to 16 mm² can be landed on the output terminals to match the drive’s current rating.
In variable-torque applications such as centrifugal pumps, the inverter supplies up to 24.0 A of current, producing 17.2 kVA and supporting a motor with a nominal shaft output of 7.5 kW. A factory-installed brake chopper connects directly to the DC link to dissipate regenerated energy during deceleration, and motor cables can be routed up to 300 m without violating rise-time limits specified for the output filter. For branch-circuit protection, a 50.0 A pre-fuse rating is recommended, and incoming conductors may be paralleled to meet that requirement while observing the stated maximum cable cross-section.
