Product Description:
The 175H7268 is an AC variable-speed drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase line power into a regulated output for induction motors, allowing automation controllers to match motor speed to process demand. By modulating voltage and frequency, the unit supplies constant-torque and variable-torque loads commonly found in conveyors, pumps, and fans. Its compact, chassis-mounted design allows integration into electrical panels where controlled motor operation can reduce mechanical stress and energy consumption.
Under constant-torque duty, the drive delivers 13.0 A of output current and supports motor output power of 5.5 kW, corresponding to 9.3 kVA of apparent power at the motor terminals. Its short-term overload current reaches 20.8 A, providing additional capacity for acceleration or sudden load changes. Internal power loss is limited to 200 W when the device operates continuously at its rated load. Electrical conversion efficiency reaches 0.96, so most input energy is transferred to the motor rather than dissipated within the drive. Branch-circuit protection uses a 25.0 A prefuse, and the power terminals accept conductors up to 2.5 mm² to carry the rated current without excessive voltage drop.
For variable-torque loads, the inverter supplies up to 16.0 A of current, corresponding to 11.5 kVA and motor output power of 7.5 kW. The maximum motor cable length is 300 m, while shielded conductors are limited to 150 m to control electromagnetic emissions. The open-chassis IP00 enclosure is intended for installation inside a suitable switchboard or electrical cabinet with forced ventilation. The drive tolerates vibration up to 0.7 g, supporting operation in factory environments subject to moderate mechanical movement. Its overall mass is 14.0 kg, and the installation does not require auxiliary reactors for cable runs within the stated limits.
