Product Description:

175H5025 is a VLT 3500 HVAC drive from Danfoss. Its main purpose is the control of motors, fans, and pumps used in applications related to air conditioning, ventilation, and heating. The input side of the drive connects to AC mains via a power cable, and the output connects to the motor, fan, or pump. The drive uses variable output to control the fan or pump. Since the input AC is not variable (has fixed amplitude/frequency), the drive first uses a power rectifier stage to convert AC from the mains supply to DC. Smoothing circuits then remove ripples and other anomalies in the intermediate DC voltage. An inverter, controlled by a control algorithm, then converts the smoothed DC to AC output with variable and controllable parameters.

This double-stage conversion is necessary for creating output AC with precisely controllable amplitude and frequency. Input voltage for the 175H5025 drive can range from minimum 380 Volts to maximum 415 Volts. Depending on the housing protection rating, this vertically mounted drive can have dimensions of 660 x 242 x 260 millimeters or 810 x 355 x 280 millimeters. A control panel with keyboard and display is available on the front side where it can be accessed easily. Operators can use the control panel to view drive operating parameters, make configuration changes, and run diagnostics during troubleshooting. The drive unit must be mounted securely to a wall or horizontal surface before any additional installation work is performed. This is especially important for top-heavy drive units. A critical safety precaution before any repair work is to switch off power to the unit and wait for 4 minutes before touching any drive component.
