Over the last two decades, Danfoss Automation has been an industry leader in the design and production of state-of-the-art products that improve automation systems. The 175H5014 is one of the many devices released by this reputable compact to provide engineers with a way to efficiently monitor and control the operation of their motor series according to individual industrial requirements. This converter is a study IP20 device with a strong metallic enclosure, and is an air-cooled device that features an internal fan and heatsink. There are two display units present on the front panel of this product, the first display is a three digit display that provides data about the drive, connected motor and the application the unit is being used. The second display is a two-digit display that serves as a menu. There are also about five pressure-sensitive keys below the display units.
The 175H5014 variable speed drive requires an input current supply of about 7.3 amperes, it also requires a voltage supply of between 380 to about 500 volts. There is a built-in electronic thermal motor protection in this product. This feature makes it possible for the drive to detect high temperature risk and display error codes or automatically shut off the connected motor.
The 175H5014 is not an outdoor device; it is vulnerable to dust and water splashes and should be properly installed inside a control cabinet. The ambient temperature surrounding this drive during operation can affect the standard of its operation. For best performance, the 175H5014 should be used within a temperature range that falls between -10 to about 40 degrees Celsius. This product features both ground and short circuit protection.
