Product Description:
The 175H4429 is an AC variable-speed drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a controlled output that allows automation controllers to adjust induction motor speed, torque, and energy use in conveyors, pumps, and fans. By integrating motor control, protection, and ramp functions into one enclosure, the drive simplifies cabinet layouts in industrial machinery and reduces the need for separate control components.
The input stage accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × 380/400/415 V ±10% at a grid frequency of 50/60 Hz. Under its constant-torque rating, the inverter can deliver 44.0 A of output current, equivalent to 31.6 kVA of apparent power, allowing it to run motors rated up to 22.0 kW. Rated motor voltages of 380, 400, or 415 V match the supply, so no step-up transformer is required. Motor nameplates rated for 50, 60, 87, or 100 Hz can be driven directly. The drive has an efficiency of 0.96 under nominal load, reducing heat losses and cooling demand, while an 80 A pre-fuse protects upstream conductors against short-circuit faults.
An enclosure classification of IP54 shields the electronics from dust deposits and water splashes, supporting installation outside sealed switchboards. The modulation stage can generate an output frequency range of 0–120 Hz or 0–500 Hz, and acceleration or deceleration can be programmed from 0.1 to 3,600 seconds to match process requirements. Remaining heat is managed within a housing that weighs 63 kg, and the drive permits motor leads up to 300 m long when 35 mm² conductors are used. Cable glands sized for that conductor cross-section fit directly into the cabinet plate. The terminals accept the required conductor size while operating within the capacity of the protected supply circuit.
