Product Description:
The 175H4401 is an AC variable frequency drive from Danfoss that belongs to the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It is intended for industrial automation tasks that require precise control of three-phase induction motor speed, such as pumps, fans, and material-handling conveyors. By producing an adjustable output frequency from a fixed three-phase input, the unit allows control systems to match motor torque and speed to process demand while maintaining energy efficiency and reducing mechanical stress on connected equipment.
Under constant-torque duty, the inverter can deliver a maximum overload current of 23.2 A for 60 seconds, while its continuous output current is 14.5 A. These current ratings correspond to a constant-torque apparent power of 12.6 kVA, and the drive produces 174 W of power loss during this operating mode. Overall conversion efficiency reaches 0.96, so most of the supplied electrical energy is transferred to the motor rather than dissipated as heat. The input section accepts a three-phase supply of 440, 460, or 500 V AC with a ±10% tolerance, allowing connection to common industrial power systems without a step-up transformer. An electronic circuit and a DIN 44081 thermistor monitor internal temperature. This thermal protection responds automatically if abnormal loading causes excessive heat inside the drive.
The enclosure is rated at IP20, providing basic protection against finger contact when the unit is installed inside a cabinet. Power conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 16.0 mm² can be connected to the terminals. Motor cables may extend up to 300 m without exceeding the drive’s supported cable length. Nominal shaft power is 7.5 kW, while variable-torque operation supports an output current of 21.7 A and an apparent power of 18.8 kVA for centrifugal loads. A 30 A supply-side pre-fuse is recommended to provide short-circuit protection, and the drive withstands vibration up to 0.7 g under industrial installation conditions. The assembly weighs 25 kg, so the mounting surface and hardware must support its mass securely.
