175H4142 is a frequency converter. It is produced by Danfoss for motor control applications. A rectifier first converts the AC input to intermediate DC. The intermediate DC is smoothed by coil circuits that also limit the harmonics. An inverter then converts this intermediate DC back to AC with controllable voltage, amplitude, and frequency. Input voltage rating of the 175H4142 inverter is 220/230 Volts AC. Its rated output is 2.2 kilowatts. Motor coils on the frequency converter allow use of long motor cables. These coils provide earth-fault protection and short-circuit protection. Another benefit is unrestricted switching at the output side. The output of the frequency converter can vary from 10 to 100% of the input supply. The output frequency can vary from 0.15 to 120 Hertz or 0.5 to 500 Hertz.
