Product Description:
The 175H1747 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss as part of the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. Designed for three-phase induction motors on industrial power systems, the unit modulates output frequency so plant controllers can match motor speed to load demand, reducing energy consumption and mechanical wear in automated conveyors, pumps, and fans. The drive accepts a three-phase AC line voltage of 440, 460, or 500 V and can power motors wound for the same voltages.
In constant-torque duty, the inverter delivers a continuous output current of 11.1 A, which is the RMS current available at the motor terminals during normal loading. This current corresponds to a continuous apparent power of 9.6 kVA. Short-term overload capability reaches 17.6 A for 60 seconds, allowing machines to overcome startup or acceleration peaks without tripping. Overall conversion efficiency is 0.96, corresponding to 96 percent conversion efficiency during operation. The mechanical output limit is 5.5 kW, making the drive suitable for many HVAC and material-handling motors. Input frequency compatibility is 50 or 60 Hz, while the adjustable output frequency can be set to 50, 60, 87, or 100 Hz to accommodate motors with different pole counts and operating requirements.
The drive is housed in an IP54 enclosure, which prevents dust and splashed water from reaching the power electronics during floor-level installation. With a shipping mass of 15 kg, it can be panel-mounted without additional structural reinforcement. Upstream protection is provided by a maximum pre-fuse rating of 25 A, and the input terminals accept copper conductors up to 2.5 mm². Motor leads may extend up to 300 m when unshielded or 150 m when shielded, providing flexibility for installations with remotely located motors. The allowable supply fluctuation is ±10%, helping the drive maintain stable operation on lightly regulated power systems. These cable-length limits allow the drive to serve motors positioned away from the main control enclosure without requiring a separate local drive installation.
