Product Description:
The 175H1737 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. Installed between the line supply and a three-phase motor, the unit regulates output frequency to control motor speed. This capability allows plant controllers to match motor operation to process demand in conveyors, pumps, and fan assemblies without relying on fixed-speed operation.
Under constant-torque duty, the inverter can deliver a continuous apparent power of 4.1 kVA while maintaining a constant-torque output current of 4.8 A. Peak overload events are handled by a 7.7 A ceiling for short durations, and branch protection is provided by a 16 A semiconductor fuse installed upstream. Enclosure heat dissipation is limited to 130 W, reducing the thermal load placed on the surrounding control cabinet. The drive has an energy conversion efficiency of 0.96, allowing most of the incoming electrical power to be transferred to the connected motor. Its enclosure classification is IP00, so the unit must be installed inside a protected control cabinet with adequate airflow and safeguards against contact. Cable terminals accept conductors with a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm². The motor circuit supports an unshielded cable length of up to 300 m or a shielded cable length of up to 150 m without exceeding the permitted drive-side voltage drop.
The input section accepts line voltages of 440/460/500 V AC, allowing operation on several regional industrial power systems. It converts the incoming supply into variable-frequency power suitable for motors rated up to 2.2 kW. During startup, the drive permits transient apparent power of 6.7 kVA to support the motor’s short-term acceleration demand. A vibration endurance of 0.7 g supports installation on moving skids or machinery exposed to moderate mechanical vibration. The unit has a shipping mass of 7.4 kg, which reduces the load imposed on cabinet supports during installation and transport. Internal bus capacitors store energy on the DC link and help maintain stable inverter operation as the output frequency changes.
