Product Description:
The 175H1734 is an AC drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 3000 Variable Speed Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into a variable output that lets automation controllers match induction motor speed to process demand. By regulating torque and acceleration electronically, the unit replaces mechanical throttling devices and supports energy-efficient operation on conveyors, pumps, and fan systems throughout industrial plants.
Electrical performance is supported by an efficiency of 0.96, so only four percent of the input power is lost as heat under nominal load. The input section accepts a supply of 3 × 440/460/500 V ±10%, allowing direct connection to common industrial power networks without transformers. Internally, the inverter can deliver an apparent power of 2.9 kVA to the motor terminals during continuous duty, while the output current is limited to 3.4 A to maintain the thermal stability of the semiconductor devices and connected cabling. These ratings establish the steady-state operating range for process drives that require precise speed control without an oversized power supply.
The chassis has an IP00 enclosure classification, so the drive must be mounted in a dedicated cabinet that provides the necessary protection against contact and allows adequate airflow. Shielded motor leads up to 150 m may be installed, enabling remote motor placement while keeping electromagnetic emissions within acceptable limits. With a nominal shaft power capability of 1.5 kW, the drive is suitable for small machines such as centrifugal pumps, conveyors, and fan systems. Upstream circuit protection can use a maximum fuse rating of 16 A to clear electrical faults rapidly. The drive complies with a vibration test level of 0.7 g, supporting operation on plant equipment exposed to moderate mechanical vibration.
