Product Description:
175H1706 is a Danfoss VLT 3500 series drive. It is produced specifically for HVAC applications. These applications involve controlling flow and pressure in applications that involve systems for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning. The drive is used to effectively control pumps, fans, and motors in large-scale HVAC systems. The drive must be disconnected from the AC mains before any repair activity. Furthermore, Danfoss recommends waiting for at least 4 minutes after power disconnection to allow all components on the drive to discharge completely. This is critical for protecting working personnel from potentially deadly electric shocks. Multiple methods are available for stopping motors, including local stop, digital commands, reference, or bus command. The stop/reset key provided on the drive control panel can’t be used as a safety switch.
Proper drive grounding and motor overload protection are the responsibility of the company operating the drive. VLT 3500 series units convert AC input to DC, which is subsequently converter to variable AC output. Input voltage for the 175H1706 drive is 380 to 415 Volts. Maximum current drawn by the drive from the AC mains is 22 Amps. The cable size recommended by the manufacturer for connecting to AC mains is 16 mm2. If a mains contact is used, the recommended size for contactors made by Danfoss is C1 9. The input side power factor of the drive is 0.9. The continuous and peak output current are 24 Amps and 26.4 Amps. Typical power output of the drive to the motor is 11 kilowatts and the motor cable cross-section is 16 mm2. For screened motor cables the longest allowed length is 300 meters. At peak load, the drive’s power loss is 425 Watts.
